Fox Chapel Publishing received more than 230 entries for the 2007 Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Best Project Design Contest. As anticipated, we received a wide variety of projects: from small, clever puzzles to elaborate hardwood tables and everything in-between. And, while the projects were diverse, they had two things in common: they were all terrific and they all reflected a passion for the craft of scrolling.

Judges Notes:
Bruce Millward combines fretwork with traditional woodworking for an elegant presentation. The traditional styling incorporates the fretwork smoothly to show off Bruce’s talents in craftsmanship as well as design planning. The judges liked the simple lines of this project which showcase the wood and fretwork without being overly ornate.
